State of the Garden, Early Spring
June 4, 2008 | Filed Under garden | Leave a Comment
These were taken early spring when we first went out to get the garden prepped for planting. These stragglers were leftover from last year, they just hung around waiting for better weather and more company. They are getting warm weather this week alright, we’re supposed to stay up in the nineties all week, and the bare spots have filled in with other veggies including tomatoes, beans, potatoes, radishes, peas, eggplants, okra and lettuces. I’ll post more photos as we go.

Onions and oregano that sprung back from last year’s crop. The onions have actually been hanging around all winter, that’s how mild a winter we had. That’s why now it’s blooming. The oregano growing below came back with a vengeance. It’s looking so much healthier this year.

The large mustard green is also a returnee. The newly planted ones are beside it. We’ve already harvested greens and shared them with our neighbors.
